The Grainger College of Engineering seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Director for Employer Engagement. Reporting to the Director of Engineering Career Services, the Assistant Director for Employer Engagement manages all aspects of career fairs, corporate partners program, and other career-related events critical to expanding networking, employment opportunities, and career development programming for students in The Grainger College of Engineering.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Recruiting Activities:• Lead overall strategy of the Career Fair and other campus recruiting events and activities for students and employers. Work with student EXPO and other student organizations to coordinate and oversee execution of career fairs and events• Work as a team to identify, solicit and schedule speakers for ECS student workshops and events.• Manage on-campus interview program including oversight of operations, interview space and reservation management processes.• Utilize technology including Handshake and Salesforce to track and report on employer engagement and recruiting activities.• Serve as ECS representative for employer aspects of campus-wide career services online career management platform.• Assist with collection of hiring data from employers.Employer Relationship Management:• Lead and coordinate Employer outreach services and programs to increase employer and professional connections for student recruitment.• Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with recruiters to identify and expand employment opportunities for engineering students.• Develop strategies and implement programs and services that engage employers and increase experiential education, internship and full time job opportunities for engineering students.• Serve as the primary point of contact for employment related inquiries and visits. Host recruiters during campus visits, interviews and events. Participate in meetings for corporate visitors and identify opportunities to build and strengthen recruiting related relationships.• Manage and seek additional memberships for the corporate Career Partners program. Serve as account manager to corporate sponsors, helping leverage program benefits to achieve student recruitment goals.Supervision & Management:• Supervise the Employer Engagement Civil Service team.• Represent ECS on committees and at meetings and events internal and external to the office.

Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:Required:• Bachelor's Degree.• Three years of professional program or project management experience incorporate engagement and relationship management.• Experience designing and implementing outreach activities and programming.• Demonstrated supervisory experience and customer service skills.Preferred:• Experience in HR, corporate recruiting, university career services or event management.• Familiarity with Handshake career services management system and Salesforce.• Event management experience.Successful Candidates Will Have:• High degree of professionalism and comfort interacting with all levels of corporate representatives.• Ability to plan, implement, manage, and evaluate programs/events and projects as well ashandle multiple work priorities.• Excellent customer service and communication skills as well as an ability to work effectively in a team environment.• Comfortable with technology including Excel and database systems.
