Managing Partner, Scott Resource Group

Mary Scott, managing consultant at Scott Resource Group, will present research findings from her recent student surveys – along with employer and career center interviews – that provide analysis of the current state, and includes some clues as to where the profession is heading. This is one of the few places we can review data provided directly from the student candidates, providing a full picture of where recruiting strategies may be falling short.

Roundtable Topics

Are you interested in facilitating a Roundtable session at the upcoming Trends event? Roundtables will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and will explore the following topics:

  1. Career Fairs
Explore the evolving landscape of career fairs, from virtual platforms to hybrid formats. This roundtable will delve into best practices, innovative strategies, and creative approaches to maximize engagement for students and employers alike. Share your insights and discover new trends to make your next career fair a standout success.
  1. Relationships Between Schools and Employers
Fostering meaningful partnerships between educational institutions and employers is the cornerstone of impactful student career development. Join this roundtable to discuss collaboration strategies, communication tools, and mutual expectations that drive long-term success for both career centers and hiring organizations.
  1. International Students on Campus
Dive into the unique challenges and opportunities surrounding international students. This roundtable will focus on creating inclusive career support and equipping employers with strategies to embrace the global talent pool right on campus.
  1. Generational Differences
Unpack the dynamics of generational diversity in the workplace and on campus. This roundtable will explore how generational perspectives influence communication, work expectations, and recruitment strategies. Gain insights into bridging gaps and creating inclusive environments that resonate across generations.

Roundtable discussions offer participants a chance to engage in open, collaborative conversations, share ideas, and benchmark best practices. As a facilitator, your role would be to guide the discussion using prepared talking points, without delivering a formal presentation. You would also collect contact information and compile key takeaways to share with attendees after the conference.

At this stage, we are gauging interest in facilitation opportunities. While we may not be able to select everyone who expresses interest, we greatly appreciate your willingness to contribute to this dynamic event!
