John D. Shingleton Award

The John D. Shingleton Award for Innovation is given for the best application of completed research or assessment that strengthens or enhances career services and recruitment practices. The winner of the Shingleton Award will present their research results at the 2025 Midwest ACE Annual Conference, at which time a $500.00 award will also be presented.

The Professional Development Committee will evaluate applications and proposals based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance and usefulness to Midwest ACE membership
  • Innovation and originality
  • Clarity of purpose and goals
  • Quality and appropriateness of design
  • Overall quality of the proposal

    Eligibility
    • Principal researcher must be a current Midwest ACE member in good standing
    • Research must already be completed

Timeline: Applications will close on September 27, 2024. The winner will be announced at the 2024 Annual Conference and will be asked to present their research at the 2025 Annual Conference.
